Palliative Care in Humanitarian Medicine
MSF's Research Unit on Humanitarian Stakes and Practices (UREPH) is pleased to announce the publication of the article “Palliative Care in Humanitarian Medicine” by James Smith and Tammam Aloudat in the journal Palliative Medicine (Vol. 31, No. 2, pp. 99–101).
Palliative care interventions have historically been neglected in the practice of humanitarian medicine. This may come as a surprise, since it is a sombre reality that medical practitioners are frequently witness to death and dying in their response to humanitarian crises.
